    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Tuesday, the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowsky, called for building a world-class electricity system to serve the Iraqis.
“Iraqis deserve a diversified, modern economy and well-paid jobs,” the American ambassador said in a tweet, followed by (Baghdad Today).
"To achieve this, it is necessary to build a world-class electricity system," she added, noting that "the United States is ready to work with Iraqi Electricity Minister Ziyad Ali Fadel and the Iraqi government to carry out this important endeavor."
The electricity sector in Iraq is witnessing a significant decline and a lack of services provided to citizens, in light of the dilapidated electrical network.
