    Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, called, on Wednesday, the United Nations human rights organizations to provide him with any documents related to human rights violations in Iraq, to ​​hold those responsible accountable.



    Al-Sudani's media office stated, in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, that the latter met a number of representatives of Iraqi civil society organizations that have a consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, in the presence of the human rights advisor.
    Al-Sudani appreciated the efforts made by these organizations to consolidate the principles of human rights in accordance with the contents of the constitution, stressing the importance of ensuring all civil rights for citizens.
    He affirmed that the government's ministerial curriculum guarantees the protection of public and private freedoms, and the freedoms of all segments of Iraqi society, pointing to the government's support for civil society organizations to play their role in achieving the goals of the government program, and to absorb the field challenges facing their work.
    Al-Sudani listened to the presentation of the heads of the organizations with regard to human rights, pointing to the importance of providing the government with any monitoring available to these organizations, and work is underway to deal with any case about which information is received, stressing the rejection of any practice that violates rights in all its forms, and the determination to hold the negligent in this regard accountable.
    The Prime Minister indicated the government's interest in the field reports, surveys and studies submitted by these organizations, calling on them to submit periodic reports on all issues to the Human Rights Adviser, accompanied by documents or documents related to corruption cases to take the necessary action in this regard.
    He also directed the ministries to cooperate with organizations that have consultative status, calling on the organizations to also contribute to the Iraq Climate Conference, which Basra will soon host.
