     Former Parliament Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi confirmed, on Monday, the failure of three meetings to reconcile Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and ministers Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, indicating that the Sunni coordination framework that al-Halbousi called for was doomed to failure due to conflicting opinions.
     Al-Nujaifi said in a televised interview, followed by Al-Maalouma, that "the conflict between Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani is still continuing after the failure of three political mediated meetings."
     He added, "Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi increased the size of his powers and took executive spaces during the governments of Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and began to interfere in appointing governors and security leaders, while Al-Sudani began to end this phenomenon, as it is the powers of the head of the executive apparatus in the country."
