    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Friday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that the new salary scale is still under discussion with the government, denying that it has been discussed or sent to Parliament.
The head of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, told (Baghdad Today) that "the government is still discussing the salary scale," noting that "the scale will be fair to those with lower ranks, as the lowest nominal salary will be 425,000 dinars."
He explained that "the members of the Finance Committee are convinced of the amendments that have been agreed upon, and we are waiting to send it as a bill to Parliament to be read and passed."
And Al-Atwani said, "Most of the employees are waiting for this peace, and it will contribute to unifying salaries."
About 4 million employees in Iraq are awaiting the completion of the new salary scale, which is supposed to lead to reducing the differences in the level of salaries between one ministry and another, and raising the nominal salary, but the amendment may affect allocations in some ministries.
