    The Ministry of Planning announced the government's intention to conduct a population census, while revealing a tendency to reduce the gap in employee salaries.
    "The government is determined to conduct the population census," said Maher Johan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning, pointing out that "cancelling some salary allocations will face a challenge."
    He added, "There is a general tendency for the state to reduce the gap in salaries," noting that "the operational budget amounts to 75 percent of the budget."
    He pointed out that "the amounts of social protection rose to 4.5 trillion dinars," stressing that "the unemployment rate in Iraq is 13-15 percent."
    He continued, "The poverty rate in Iraq is 22 percent," pointing out that "the budget meets the government program."
    He stressed that "Iraq will witness a major transformation in the field of roads and bridges during the next two years," explaining that "
