The Ministry of Planning warned against canceling some salary allocations.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry, Maher Johan, said in a televised statement this evening: "The cancellation of some salary allocations will face a challenge," noting that "there is a general tendency of the state to reduce the salary gap."
He explained that "the operational budget amounts to 75 percent of the budget," noting that "the sums of social protection rose to 4.5 trillion dinars."
He revealed that "the unemployment rate in Iraq is 13-15 percent, while the poverty rate in Iraq is 22 percent."
"The budget meets the government program," Johan promised, stressing that "the government is determined to conduct a population census."
He believed that "Iraq will witness a major transformation in the field of roads and bridges during the next two years," stressing that "major hospital projects will be completed during the next year."
He explained that "the number of lagging projects decreased to less than 1,000 projects, and we worked hard to move the file of lagging projects."
