    Today, Wednesday, the Real Estate Bank issued a clarification regarding loans for the purchase of housing units, stressing that the citizen's obtaining a "loan application form" does not mean final approval of the loan, but rather means the completion of the first step of the transaction.
    The bank said, in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "a number of pioneers of websites, social media platforms and satellite channels (conveyed) misleading and inaccurate information about the real estate bank obstructing or distorting citizen lending transactions to obtain a loan to buy a housing unit from the initiative of the Central Bank of Iraq and not Payment of financial dues to them,” stressing that this information is “false and far from reality.”
    The statement added, "The Real Estate Bank works with all its human and financial resources to serve the citizen and under the supervision and control of the Central Bank of Iraq and the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, by financing citizens to purchase housing units and a cash mass that exceeds 4.5 trillion Iraqi dinars, which is approximately 45,000 thousand borrowers from all Iraqi governorates." And with the highest completion rate exceeding 95.5% of our government's government program to enhance services and support citizens.
    He explained, "The citizen's obtaining (the loan application form) does not mean final approval of the loan, but rather means the completion of the first step of the transaction, which requires the completion of fundamental approvals on the credit file of the borrower, the sponsor, and the housing unit to be purchased, which is subject to the instructions of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Central Bank of Iraq." ".
    And the statement continued, "The Real Estate Bank is currently receiving specific weekly payments from the Central Bank to complete the remainder of what is allocated to it within the funds of the last initiative, and it is working with all its energies to finance these payments to citizens in all governorates smoothly and with great accuracy, in compliance with the instructions, serving the citizen, and preserving public money."
