Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani affirmed, on Monday, that Iraq has ambitious investment opportunities, while indicating that the government is serious about confronting bureaucracy.
And the media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani received this evening, Monday, a delegation of businessmen and investors in the United Arab Emirates, headed by the President of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Muhammad Al-Mazrouei, and welcomed with the members of the guest delegation, stressing that their visit to the capital, Baghdad, reflects the distinguished relationship between the two brotherly countries, and the desire to open more prospects for joint economic cooperation.
And the Prime Minister stated, according to the statement, that "Iraq has ambitious investment opportunities, and it is ready for a qualitative economic leap that would promote sustainable development and fully achieve its goals," referring to "the large investments made in Iraq in the fields of energy and petrochemicals."
He stressed that "the government has a clear executive program, and it is serious about confronting bureaucracy and providing all necessary facilities in order to create a successful investment environment."
For its part, the Emirati delegation expressed its sincere thanks for the good reception, and affirmed its great aspiration to invest in Iraq, and the high coordination with government institutions and the Iraqi private sector.
