    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, confirmed today, Friday (June 14, 2024), that there is no path before us but to build the state and strengthen the work of its institutions and the rule of law.
    According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office received by “Baghdad Today,” Al-Sudani said during a ceremony held in the capital, Baghdad, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Popular Mobilization Forces, that “the ugliness of the crimes committed by ISIS gangs against the people of the areas that fell into the clutches of its terrorism was a reason for sharpening determination and shedding blood for the sake of the homeland," stressing "the responsibility to complete the process of giving carried by the martyrs of the Mobilization Forces, the leaders of victory, and the martyrs of our armed forces, when they defended and sacrificed for a safe and stable Iraq."
    He added, "The crowding of young people with the youth in order to stop the tools of evil is a scene that all nations aspire to perpetuate their national heritage of jihad," noting that "the Popular Mobilization Forces were founded by the will of loyal volunteers before it took an organizational form."
    He continued, "The Popular Mobilization Forces have formed a bond that increases the strength of our social fabric and consolidates the concept of national unity," noting that "what the Mobilization Forces achieved in its victories, along with the other types of our armed forces, will remain a source of pride in reading military strategies."
    He pointed out that "we believe in the importance of this national organization, and there is no room for bidding on the principled issues that our people embrace with all their official institutions and national forces," stressing "the need always for a pause to correct the paths and a review that stems from our belief in the level of principle of the mobilization."
    He pointed out that "there is no path before us except the path of building the state, strengthening the work of its institutions and the rule of law, and preserving the interests of Iraq," explaining that "despite some parties seeking to use the name of the mobilization to implement what deviates from its duties, it is still the mobilization of the nation and the mobilization of the people, and will not deviate." About its path and historical role.
    He added, "We have met the aspirations of citizens in a government that serves them, overcomes challenges, fights corruption, and preserves public money. The homeland that the martyrs sought is a generous homeland in which its people live proudly, with their heads held high."
    He stated, “We aim to preserve the mobilization’s readiness and develop its capabilities, and we have completed the means of support and prepared the professional camps located outside the cities,” noting that “we presented the service and retirement law for the Mujahideen of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in fulfillment of the promise made by this government, in gratitude and honor for its mujahideen, and out of care for the families of the martyrs.” .
