The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, and the acting Iranian Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, discussed strengthening relations and bonds of friendship between the Kurdistan Region and Iran in the economic, commercial and cultural fields.
A statement from Barzani's office stated that the latter "received at the Salah al-Din resort in the city of Erbil, Ali Bagheri Kani, and the delegation accompanying him."
He added, "During the meeting, they discussed the political situation in the region and Iraq, and stressed the strengthening of relations and bonds of friendship between the region and the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in the economic, commercial and cultural fields."
