    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

    A member of the State of Law coalition, Saad Al-Muttalabi, said on Wednesday that the statements of the Kurdish representative in Washington regarding the purchase of defense systems in order to protect American interests are a betrayal of the country. [/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Muttalabi said in a press statement, “The attempts of the Kurds to buy military equipment outside the controls of the Iraqi government, and the military budget allocated to them, are a major violation of the laws of the military system,” noting that “The statement of the region's representative in Washington regarding the purchase of the defense system in order to protect American interests is considered Betrayal of the homeland. [/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, "No military entity can arm outside the defense policy determined by the federal government," pointing out that "any attempt to arm outside the government's powers is a violation of autonomy." [/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Muttalabi concluded his speech: “The region’s excuse for purchasing defense systems and drones in order to protect American interests is uglier than the wrong action they committed,” stressing that “America will not give the Kurds military equipment outside the central will of Iraq “[/rtl]
