The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, confirmed the provision of full support for the success of the duties of the new Turkish consul in the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
[size=45]During a meeting that took place today, Thursday (June 13, 2024), Nechirvan Barzani welcomed the new Turkish Consul General, Arman Tobcu, to the Kurdistan Region, according to a statement reported by the region’s presidency.[/size]
[size=45]While the President of the Kurdistan Region congratulated the Turkish Consul for his new position as Consul General for his country, he stressed full support for the success of his duties.[/size]
[size=45]In turn, the Turkish Consul General in the Kurdistan Region expressed his satisfaction with assuming his duties, stressing that “Turkey views with interest its relations with the Kurdistan Region,” according to the statement.[/size]
[size=45]He expressed his "hope that during his tenure in this position he will be able to contribute to further strengthening relations between the two sides."[/size]
[size=45]In conclusion, the statement pointed out that “the situation in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the region in general formed another focus of the meeting.”[/size]
