Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa, confirmed on Friday that all water filtration projects comply with World Health Organization specifications.
Musa said, “The water produced in all water filtration projects affiliated with the Baghdad Water Department conforms to the specifications of the World Health Organization and is subject to periodic laboratory tests by the Baghdad Municipality, the Ministry of Health, and the relevant regulatory authorities.”
He pointed out that “there are violations in the network that negatively affect the quality of water that reaches some homes in some remote areas,” directing “the specialized teams to quickly count, identify and address these violations and to ensure that sterile water is provided to all areas and neighborhoods of the capital, Baghdad.”
