Baghdad sends 20 billion dinars to the Kurdistan Region in farmers’ dues

Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the Kurdistan Region announced, on Saturday, that the federal government has sent farmers’ dues for marketing the wheat crop for this season.
The ministry said in a statement today that the second batch of wheat crop money bonds has arrived in the Kurdistan Region, and will be distributed to farmers after the Eid al-Adha holiday.
The statement explained that the total amounts received amounted to 20 billion dinars, 10 billion dinars of which were for Sulaymaniyah Governorate, six billion dinars for Erbil Governorate, and four billion dinars for Dohuk Governorate.
The process of marketing the wheat crop from farmers in the Kurdistan Region began on June 6th of this month and will continue for 40 days.
