    Shafaq News/ Foreign remittance sales at the Central Bank auction, on Thursday, increased by 94% over cash sales, reaching more than 261 million dollars, at the end of the week and before the start of the Eid al-Adha holiday.
    Shafaq News Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold today during its auction for buying and selling the US dollar 276 million 774 thousand and 109 dollars, which it covered at a base exchange rate of 1310 dinars per dollar for documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards, at a price of 1310 dinars per dollar for foreign transfers, and at a price of 1305. Dinars per dollar in cash.
    Our correspondent added that most of the dollar sales went to strengthen balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, which amounted to 261 million and 164 thousand and 109 dollars, an increase of 94% over cash sales amounting to 15 million and 580 thousand dollars.
    Our correspondent indicated that the number of banks that purchased cash dollars reached 3 banks, while the number of banks that responded to requests to enhance balances abroad reached 7 banks, and the total number of exchange and brokerage companies participating in the auction was 20 companies.
