On Thursday, the Finance Committee held an important meeting regarding the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal years 2023-2024-2025 and amending some of its paragraphs.
The head of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, confirmed at the beginning of the meeting, according to a statement by the media department in Parliament, that there is a tendency to increase the allocations of governorates and institutions that need funds and make transfers to them, in line with the actual need for those areas, in order to implement projects, and to make observations that support non-oil revenues and contribute in improving performance.”
The statement added, "The committee voted to amend some of the contentious articles contained in the general budget in preparation for voting in general and sending them to the House of Representatives."
