    [rtl]Baghdad-Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]The Ministry of Water Resources clarified, regarding the receding water in the marshes, in addition to visiting the migration rates from them.[/rtl]
[rtl]The ministry's spokesman, Khaled Shamal, said in a press interview, "Speaking about the marshes sometimes deviates from realism. The marshes are not a depression for collecting water, and they are not a reservoir for storing water. Rather, the marshes are an ecological one." , social, economic, moral, and folkloric system and a community, and they are an important part of the identity, history, and civilization of Iraq.” ".[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The share of the water marshes is a specific percentage of the water revenues, and therefore when the water revenues decrease by sixty-five percent and only thirty-five percent of their natural entitlement remains, this means that the share of the Marshes decreased by the same amount, and therefore the decline of some marsh areas is the result of a lack of revenues, not a lack of releasing water according to procedures related to the Ministry of Resources or any other party.[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, "The Ministry of Water Resources, since the first day after the year 2003, established a general director for managing the marshes, which is the Marsh Revitalization Center. Distribution, control, pedestrian bridges, facilities, roads, social and productive projects that are related to the lives of citizens.[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The marshes are one of the most important commitments of the Ministry of Water Resources, because they are a cultural heritage that cannot be neglected by the Iraqi state."[/rtl]
[rtl]With regard to the increase in migration rates, Shamal stressed that "life in the marshes is not a static life, but is related to the area of flooding with the depth of the water, and occupations are related to the amount of water and depends on fishing, agriculture and other matters related to the marsh environment. It is natural that there is a kind of population change or limited internal migration because life linked to the discharges of the marshes, the submerged areas, and even the depth of the water .[/rtl]
