Minister of Finance, Taif Sami Muhammad, discussed today with the UK Ambassador to Baghdad, Stephen Hitch, and his accompanying delegation, bilateral relations between the two countries.
A statement by the ministry, received by Al-Hayat News, stated that the meeting witnessed discussions on consolidating bilateral relations between the two friendly countries through the development of joint cooperation in the field of finance and economy and the exchange of experiences.
He added that, in addition to discussing the mechanisms of joint cooperation in the field of supporting financial and banking policies, building human capacities, and discussing Iraq's steps in joining the international financial system, and the most prominent procedures and reforms that the government is taking in the field of the banking and financial sector, in a way that contributes to enhancing economic development in Iraq.
