    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed that 10,000 job grades have been allocated for appointment as soldiers in the army.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Major General Yahya Rasoul said, in a televised statement, that “all units and formations participated in the security plan for the Arbaeen visit,” noting that “this plan received the attention and follow-up of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]He added, "About 6 million foreign visitors entered Iraq to perform the fortieth visit, and we are currently working on the reverse crowding of visitors."[/rtl]
    [rtl]Regarding volunteering within the ranks of the security forces in the Ministry of Defense, he explained that “the Ministry has completed all preparations to open the door to volunteering, as 10,000 ranks have been allocated as soldiers in the army,” noting that “the ranks of volunteering will be according to population density and national balance.”[/rtl]
    [rtl]He stated that "37 thousand of those whose contracts were terminated were accepted, as the first batch of them completed their training and will join the units."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He stressed that "work is being done to rehabilitate and develop Al-Hussein Military Hospital, even though it is not 100 percent complete, and we have a shortage of intermediate cadres for the hospital," pointing out that "the hospital's capacity is 400 beds "[/rtl]
    [rtl]Regarding air defense, Major General Rasoul explained that it "receives priority in development, especially since Iraq is open to many countries in the issue of arming air defense."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He pointed out that "work is underway to multiply sources of armament in Iraq, as new production lines have entered military manufacturing, and we are working on producing light and medium weapons."[/rtl]
    [rtl]Regarding the negotiations with Washington, he stated that “the recent negotiations determined the file of the American presence, and these negotiations were successful, as work was done with the American side in the field of training, consultation, and information exchange, and a higher committee was formed regarding the file of the American military presence, while the quadripartite alliance works on intelligence cooperation.” .[/rtl]
    [rtl]Regarding the border file, he said, “The Iraqi-Syrian border is controlled by the Iraqi forces, and is heavily fortified, and the security file for Salah al-Din, Anbar, and Nineveh will be handed over to the Ministry of Interior next year.”[/rtl]
