The Ministry of Electricity has begun implementing three renewable energy projects aimed at producing 2,500 megawatts, and within a program whose first phase aims to generate seven thousand and 500 megawatts, relying on solar energy.
The head of the Ministry's Quality Management Department, Rapporteur of the National Initiative, Shaima Mazhar Sadiq, said in a statement to Al-Sabah: Following the launch of the national initiative aimed at reducing the volume of polluting emissions, the Ministry was keen to diversify its energy production sources, while reducing reliance on gas and fossil fuels.
In the same context, it announced the start of the construction of three renewable energy projects aimed at producing 2,500 megawatts.
