Shafaq News/ Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, stated on Sunday that the regional government has fulfilled all its obligations, and the federal government must follow suit by implementing its obligations and sending Kurdistan’s share of the country’s general financial budget.
Talabani said in a statement he made to reporters in Sulaymaniyah, that these excuses provided by the federal government in order to postpone sending the region’s share of the budget or postpone financing the salaries of those who receive them in Kurdistan, which is their natural right, must stop.
He added, "Just as the regional government committed to the general budget law, the federal government should also adhere to it and send Kurdistan's share."
A high-ranking delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government is scheduled to visit the capital, Baghdad, tomorrow, Monday, to discuss the issue of salaries and the region’s share of the general financial budget, and the resumption of oil exports from Kurdistan and Kirkuk Governorate via the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
