Today, Friday, the Ministry of Planning revealed 11 axes to invest in the population increase in Iraq and turn it into effective development engines, in the wake of its expectations that the population will reach 48 million within five years.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said, “The national population policy document, which was updated by the Ministry of Planning and launched last May for the current year, includes 11 axes and covers all aspects of life from childhood to adulthood in accordance with policies, goals and procedures in each axis.”
He added, "Among the most prominent axes included in the document are the axis of childhood and early childhood, health and reproductive health, youth and youth empowerment, the axis of empowering women and supporting vulnerable segments and vulnerable groups, an axis on housing, the axis of confronting challenges and climate change, and other axes," pointing out that The 11 axes will be policies, programs and goals implemented by relevant parties according to plans specified in this aspect to address all the gaps that exist in the Iraqi reality.
He pointed out that “implementing the axes will absorb and invest in the population increase that Iraq is witnessing and transform it from development burdens.” To effective development engines.”
