A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated that Al-Sudani was briefed during the visit, and via a television circuit, on the progress of implementation of the security plan to secure the provincial council elections. Security Plan
The head of the Supreme Security Committee for the elections, Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, said in a press conference yesterday afternoon, Saturday: “All units headed to the polling stations throughout Iraq,” pointing out that “the plan is flexible and the security forces cast their votes comfortably,” pointing out that “The forces will devote themselves to a greater duty, which is public voting.”
He explained, “The security services have referred some violators to the judiciary, and the public voting process will be broader and the security duty greater.” He explained that “he transferred ( The memory stick will be a first priority because it contains all the data, and there are no remote areas where the (private ballot) boxes would require transportation by plane,” explaining that “transporting the (memory stick) for public voting will be via army and air force aviation from the governorates to Baghdad.”
For his part, the spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, told “Al-Sabah”: “The security forces have completed all their preparations, and all the security forces are ready to make this mission a success, and it is a constitutional entitlement.” He added, “The capabilities and capabilities of the security forces are high, and our goal is to create a safe environment for the elections and protect voters and electoral centers.”
Al-Khafaji continued:“We have a plan to transfer the memory stick, the ballot boxes, the delegations and the media,” and he stated that “the Supreme Security Committee began preparing for these elections 5 months ago, and began preemptive operations and then planning to collect and deploy the units, then begin the plan after discussing all the procedures.”

Meanwhile, the Commander of Kirkuk Operations, Major General Saleh Haraz, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah” that “the special voting process for the provincial council elections began at seven o’clock in Kirkuk Governorate, and took place with a clear flow and organization,” stressing that “There are no dictates, conditions, or pressure on the voter,” he said, noting that “the number of voters exceeded 50% until the announcement hour at 11:30 a.m.,” noting that “the participation of members in casting their votes during the electoral process did not affect security protection.” For electoral centers, as well as the defensive or decisive position, where we have a solid plan for implementation.”

Smooth flow in MaysanFor his part, the director of the Office of the Maysan Elections Commission, Muhammad Haliji Farhan, told “Al-Sabah”: “There is high coordination between the Elections Commission and the Operations Command to manage the electoral process on the two days of private and public voting, where prior systematic coordination between the Commission and the Maysan Operations Command, There was field supervision by Maysan Operations on allocating buses to transport members to the polling stations, as well as working to distribute the members in shifts to review the polling centers to avoid any breach or security vacuum in the governorate.The Commander of Maysan Operations, Major General Sabah Al-Azzawi, confirmed to “Al-Sabah” that “our security forces are deployed in the governorate according to the established security plan.” In coordination with the High Electoral Commission for three months,” he added, “We are also currently supervising ensuring the success of the post-election process by transporting logistical materials, preserving voting materials, and delivering the results by the Electoral Commission to the National Center.”The special voting process was conducted smoothly by the security forces and with field supervision and follow-up by the High Elections Commission. In Maysan, with the participation of the Maysan Operations Command, without any security disruption occurring.The number of private polling centers in Maysan reached, 20 electoral centers (69) polling stations distributed in the center, districts and districts of the governorate, to select 13 candidates for membership in the Maysan Governorate Council.

Najaf Al-Ashraf polling
In Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, members of the armed forces cast their votes in 18 polling centers throughout the governorate, and the media official of the Najaf Elections Office, Zaki Al-Ibrahimi, told “Al-Sabah”: “The number of voters There were 26,115 voters for special voting, and the special polling centers were opened at seven in the morning, and witnessed a good turnout of voters without any security violations occurring,” noting that “the Najaf Police Command implemented a security plan with the participation of the Interior Forces, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the supporting forces. Ibrahimi explained, “The Commission placed 200 cameras in the 64 polling stations, in addition to four external cameras for each polling station,” indicating that “ This is the first time that the Election Commission has used surveillance cameras, which record everything that happens at the polling stations with audio and video.” It is worth noting that the number of security forces participating in securing the Najaf elections for the special polling day exceeded 13,000 security personnel.
Diwaniyah Voting
As for Diwaniyah, the special voting process took place via 14 electoral centers, with participation described by the Commission as “good,” at a time when security forces deployed on a regular basis to protect polling centers and voters, and began voting to choose candidates for the Provincial Council.

Nineveh Commission
For its part, the Office of the Election Commission in Nineveh denied the presence of any technical malfunction with the voting machines inside the voting centers in the governorate, and a source in the office told “Al-Sabah”: “Our centers did not record any malfunction or technical problem with the voting machines in all the election centers in the city of Mosul.” Or administrative unit centers in general.
The source added, “There is a very high demand for voting and electoral participation for all types of security forces in the private voting centers, as the number of members who participated in voting in each center before midday reached more than approximately 600 participants.” There are centers that recorded more than these numbers of voters during the elections for members of the security services throughout Nineveh.
