Today, Sunday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi announced the launch of the student scholarship retroactively.
Al-Asadi said, in a statement: “It is a continuation of the successes achieved in the social protection file, and we are on the cusp of the end of the first year of the government’s life, and based on the principle of supporting the most vulnerable families in Iraqi society and implementing the promises we made to implement the government program in the National Service Government and under the direct guidance of the Prime Minister.” Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the Social Protection Authority in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs launched the student scholarship in coordination with the Ministry of Education.
He added, "The grant included more than one million (850) thousand students, with an amount of approximately (200) billion dinars, retroactively, for the months of October, second, and December."
