    [size=45]The Ministry of Electricity signs the first amendment to the electrical interconnection contract (Iraqi-Jordanian) for the benefit of Rutba District in western Anbar.[/size]
    [size=45]Important, realistic and implementable steps that the Ministry of Electricity is taking seriously, to diversify energy sources and reduce dependence on gas and fossil fuels, and through them to achieve network reliability and energy benefit exchange.[/size]
    [size=45]It took place under the patronage of the Minister of Electricity, Engineer Ziad Ali Fadel, and in implementation of his directives today, Sunday, and on the sidelines of the signing of the first amendment to the electrical interconnection contract (Iraqi - Jordanian),[/size]
    [size=45]It was signed between the Ministry of Electricity / Central Electricity Transmission Company and the Jordanian National Electricity Company, the signing of an amendment to the connection contract to be on the 132 KV network, and to benefit from it the Rutba district and its areas in Anbar Governorate and a capacity of (40 megawatts) as an initial part of this connection, leading to connecting it to a line network. Ultra-high pressure, voltage 400 KV, power (150 MW).[/size]
    [size=45]The necessary technical arrangements were discussed by the Director General of Central Electricity Transmission, Engineer Riyad Oraibi.[/size]
    [size=45]To start operating the project to supply the Rutba region in Iraq with energy amounting to (40 megawatts) on a 132 kV network, and accordingly the following procedures were agreed upon:[/size]
    [size=45]● First: The Central Electricity Transmission Company shall open the documentary credit stipulated in Appendix No. (1) of the first amendment to the contract for the sale and purchase of electrical energy as soon as possible and inform the Jordanian Electricity Company of the opening of this documentary credit.[/size]
    [size=45]● Second: Forming a joint technical team from both sides after opening the documentary credit, completing the procedures for examining and zeroing the meters, and approving the meter reports, according to what was stated in Appendix No. (1) of the first amendment to the contract for the sale of electrical energy, so that the electrical energy meters located in the Risha Transfer Station are examined. And the electrical energy meters located in the Rutbah transformer station by the joint technical team simultaneously.[/size]
    [size=45]● Third: Providing the Jordanian Electricity Company with a discharge certificate before operation stating that the equipment of the General Electric Power Transmission Company in the Central Region is ready to receive electrical current from the Jordanian electrical network.[/size]
