    The Iranian Customs Authority revealed that the country's exports to Iraq witnessed a decline, compared to an increase in imports from it.
    Head of the Iranian Customs Service, Mohammad Rashvanifar, explained that the volume of trade exchange between Iran and neighboring countries, during the current Iranian year (which began on March 21, 2023), amounted to 55 billion and 275 million dollars.
    He explained that the value of exports from Iran's total foreign trade during this period amounted to 25 billion and 844 million dollars, while the value of imports amounted to 29 billion and 431 million dollars.
    He continued, according to what was reported by the official news agency, that the volume of Iranian exports to 7 neighboring countries increased, while it decreased to 8 other neighboring countries.
    Iranian exports to Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia “saw a decline,” while exports to the UAE, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Sultanate of Oman, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Bahrain “saw an increase.”
    He also explained that imports from Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Kuwait “saw a decline during this period,” while “imports increased” from Armenia, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Qatar.
