The CEO of Siemens in Iraq, Muhannad Al-Saffar, said in a statement followed by Mawazine News: “The company’s work in Iraq extends for nearly 80 years, during which it provided various services, including electrical energy support,” pointing out that “the company is currently present in Iraq to help... The Ministry of Electricity aims to increase the rate of production, energy transmission and distribution, in addition to raising the capacity of the national grid.”
He added, "The company signed energy projects at the beginning of this year with the government and under the auspices of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani in Berlin, which included long-term contracts to maintain public stations and increase their efficiency," noting, "The aim of these contracts is to support the stability and supply of the national grid."
He pointed out that "the company worked quickly to install 40 cooling units, which added approximately 800 megawatts to the national grid during the past year," noting that "this increase was accompanied by the delivery of 15 secondary stations in the middle and southern Euphrates, Anbar, and west Mosul, which is the most important thing accomplished so far." ".
He stressed, "The company is continuing to work to increase production capacity by continuing maintenance."
