[rtl]The Ministry of Transport has prepared a plan to restart parked aircraft and activate the air route with Europe.[/rtl]

[rtl]The Minister of Transport said in a statement followed by “Al-Iqtisad News”: “The General Company for Iraqi Airlines concluded an agreement with (IATA) to solve the problems recorded in the operation of the lines by the (IASA) organization, which includes three stages, aiming to provide international safety requirements.”[/rtl]

[rtl]Al-Saadawi added, “The Ministry did not stand idly by in this regard, but rather resorted to renting a plane with a foreign crew, in accordance with the ACMI system to activate the European line, and with regular flights,” indicating that “the company worked to conclude an agreement with an authorized company that holds an operating certificate (AOC), which allows... Flying our planes and operating our crew from Iraq to Europe.”[/rtl]

[rtl]Regarding the aircraft out of service, the Minister of Transport confirmed that “the company has so far returned 7 aircraft to service, and we seek to operate at least 10 aircraft before the end of this year.”[/rtl]

[rtl]He explained that "Iraqi Airways contracted with reputable international companies to repair 20 engines and return them to Iraq to be installed on parked aircraft by the staff of the General Airlines Company."[/rtl]
