A statement from the Ministry’s media office said, “The Director General of Iraqi Airways, Manaf Abdel Moneim, under the guidance of the Minister, made a visit to the city of Cairo to meet with the Egyptian Company for Grounded Aircraft Maintenance.”
The statement added, “Abdel Moneim is following up on the progress of the work of refurbishing two (2) engine engines,” noting that “the next few days will witness a positive shift in the process of restarting a number of aircraft, whether through maintenance or receiving new engines that were contracted to be purchased with major aircraft.” International companies.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Transport was able earlier to return to service five aircraft of the A320, A220, MAX, CRJ900, and B737 models, and all of them began operating on the national carrier’s flights.
