    The Ministry of Transport announced on Sunday that the deadline for the opening of the Grand Al-Faw Port will be the beginning of next year 2025, indicating that there will be no change in this date.

    Director of the Ministry's Media Office, Maytham Al-Safi, said, "The scheduled date for the opening of the Grand Al-Faw Port at the beginning of next year, 2025, is fixed and there has been no change in it, especially since the works are progressing at a high pace and some of them have achieved high rates of completion compared to previous years, which witnessed some delay."



    He confirmed, "Completing 90 percent of the first section of the road linking the Grand Port of Al-Faw and the Development Road, and reaching 67 percent of the completion of the bridges within the highway project linking the submerged tunnel and the Development Road," according to what was reported by the government newspaper Al --[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

    He added, "The port is embarking on a new package of giant projects during the second phase of this year, such as the liquefied gas station project and the establishment of a grain terminal and the naval base.
