    Yesterday, Wednesday, the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri, launched the electronic government school, while the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Education Affairs, Adnan Al-Sarraj, confirmed that the Prime Minister approved the Taaleem Foundation initiative to pick up dropout students who wish to return to schools.
    Al-Jubouri said, in his speech during the school’s launch ceremony: “Today we celebrate the first strategies of the Ministry of Education aimed at implementing the technological infrastructure to teach and enhance skills and enable distance education by opening the electronic school,” noting that “this school is one of the means of achieving equal opportunities.” Education and providing quality education, under intensive ministerial supervision and follow-up by the Directorate of Educational Television.”
    He added, “The school is the most important educational project in which the Ministry seeks to achieve its sustainable goals, as it is a promising project that contributes to raising the academic reality for students abroad and other groups who are not permitted by life circumstances to complete their studies and provide them with the skills of the scientific and cognitive community, in addition to eliminating the phenomenon of unorganized private teaching.” He pointed out that “our steps have become clear to consolidate education.” For his part, Adviser to the Prime Minister for Educational Affairs, Adnan al-Sarraj, said in his speech during the launch of the school: “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani’s interest in developing the educational sector took different and multiple levels, and perhaps his interest in the government program and the educational sector represents the Iraqi state’s interest in developing the educational sector and in keeping with the development Technology,” noting that “the Prime Minister’s Office launched many initiatives related to education, which supported vital programs, making education witness a new shift in its developments.” He stated that “these initiatives seriously contributed to pushing the Ministry of Education forward and diagnosing existing errors and addressing them under the supervision of the Prime Minister,” noting that “most of the initiatives that received the support of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education are finding their way in many sectors of the Ministry of Education, from school health to... School security aims to address dropouts, the issue of school buildings, appointments, and other various projects, which constitute a phenomenon to avoid past mistakes.”
    He stated, “The Prime Minister approved the Education Foundation’s initiative to retrieve dropout students who wish to return to schools, at the expense of the Education Foundation, which includes thousands of school dropouts.”[/size]
