    Today, Sunday, the Central Bank of Iraq revealed a plan to license a number of digital banks.

    During the meeting, they "discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/314357766/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%B2%D9%8A %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%8A/ar/]Central Bank of Iraq[/url] and the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/44808/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D9%88%D9%84%D9%8A/ar/]World Bank[/url], especially the restructuring of government banks, launching the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/3915511855/%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AF%D8%A9/ar/]Riyada Bank[/url] project and its economic and social importance, and discussing the experiences of neighboring countries in confronting climate change and its impact on the national and regional economy."

    The meeting discussed "small and medium enterprises and their support by the Central Bank, developing the financial and banking sector, non-banking financial institutions, financial markets and the insurance sector, as well as benefiting from the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/44808/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D9%88%D9%84%D9%8A/ar/]World Bank[/url]'s experiences in digital transformation, financial inclusion, and digital banks."

    According to the statement, the governor reviewed “the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/314357766/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%B2%D9%8A %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%8A/ar/]Central Bank of Iraq[/url]’s plan to restructure the banking sector, indicating that this bank has completed the first phase of the plan and has begun the second phase.”

    He pointed out, "The Board of Directors of the Central Bank licensed the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/1750635904/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%AE%D8%B6%D8%B1/ar/]Green Bank[/url], which will be the nucleus of renewable energy and sustainable financing initiatives, revealing the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/entity/314357766/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%B2%D9%8A %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82%D9%8A/ar/]Central Bank of Iraq[/url]'s intention to license a number of digital banks."
