[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Planning Affairs, Hisham Al-Alawi, discussed today, Thursday, with representatives of the United Nations Development Program Office the strengthening of partnership in the field of environment, climate and water.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Al-Alawi met with representatives of the United Nations Development Program Office, Mamunur Rashid - Deputy Head of the Office and responsible for the Energy, Environment and Water Programme, and Yulia Isaeva - Director of the Environment and Climate Department.
During the meeting, according to the statement, mechanisms for strengthening partnership in the field of environment and climate were discussed. It was also agreed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host a workshop during the next month that includes national institutions concerned with climate and water as well as representatives of the United Nations Development Program to discuss the details of practical steps for joint cooperation in the future.”/End 2[/rtl]
