Shafaq News/ The Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Region, Bekard Talabani, stated on Wednesday that the region has achieved self-sufficiency in most livestock products.
Talabani said in a press conference held today, "We have achieved self-sufficiency in many livestock products, which is one of the most important achievements in order to ensure food security in the Kurdistan Region."
She added, "We have much more than we need in the poultry sector, and we can market poultry products to the Iraqi market."
Talabani added, "We have made great strides in the field of fish wealth, as well as in dairy cow breeding projects that supply the Kurdistan Region markets with dairy products."
