Security coordination between Baghdad and Sulaymaniyah

Under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji arrived in Sulaymaniyah yesterday, Monday, at the head of a high-ranking security delegation to discuss three important security files, most notably intelligence coordination. Upon his arrival, al-Araji met with the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani, and discussed security coordination and the outcomes of the recent National Security Council meeting. The office of the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Jalal Talabani, revealed the details of the security meeting, which was attended by high-ranking military and security officials, indicating that three files were discussed, the first of which was increasing intelligence and security cooperation, while the second file included intensifying the war on terrorism so that it has no place left, in order to maintain the stability and security of the Iraqi people as a whole, while the third file discussed the results of the recent Iraqi National Security Council meeting. Talabani said: "The threat of terrorism has not ended and ISIS's movements continue," adding that "intelligence and security cooperation must be increased and the war against terrorism must be intensified so that it has no place left, and the stability and lives of our people must be protected."
