Al-Hajjami said in an interview with Sumarya News, "Iraq faces many challenges that affect attracting investors despite the presence of huge numbers of them," indicating that "some of the factors include political and security instability, bureaucratic challenges, lack of infrastructure, and lack of transparency in the business environment."

He added: "Improving these factors and providing a stable and attractive investment environment can increase the number of investors and enhance economic development in Iraq."

Al-Hajjami pointed out that "there may be specific preferences or relationships that affect the granting of investment opportunities to a specific group of investors at times," noting that "enhancing transparency and achieving equality in investment opportunities can help reduce these favoritism and enhance trust between investors and stakeholders."
