    Recently, the Iraqi arena has witnessed increasing tension with the escalation of disputes over the presence of the US-led international coalition on Iraqi territory.
    Political and popular circles expressed their dissatisfaction with the postponement of the announcement of the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq, which prompted them to threaten widespread popular protests to resolve this matter completely.
    Since the announcement of extending the withdrawal date, these circles considered this postponement as an American procrastination aimed at prolonging its presence in Iraq, which made them lose confidence in the diplomatic process.
    Speaking about this file, member of the State of Law Coalition Saad al-Mutalibi revealed that America asked its allies in Iraq to stop the work of the committees regarding ending the American presence in Iraq.
    Al-Mutalibi said in a statement to /Al-Maalomah/ Agency, that "the recent events in the region and the Iranian response to Israel after the assassination of the resistance leaders prompted America to be present for a longer period to protect or limit the attack on its spoiled son Netanyahu," noting that "the Americans' presence portends a war inside Iraq between the resistance factions and the American bases."
    He added, "The Iraqi government must work to accelerate the work of the joint committees in order to remove the danger from Iraqi territory and avoid the destruction of Iraqis," noting that "the American presence in Iraq has always been a source of danger, whether through its creation of terrorist cells or its problems with neighboring countries."
    In addition, former MP Ahmed Al-Kanani confirmed that the American side is procrastinating in the process of accepting the schedule for the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq. 
    Al-Kanani said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "Iraq does not need any foreign military presence within its territory, and this is what Iraq announced clearly and explicitly after its victory over terrorist organizations," noting that "the American presence has turned into drones hovering in the skies of Baghdad and the provinces and targeting whomever it wants, and this is a dangerous and unacceptable matter." 
    He added that "the government's position on this presence is clear and explicit, but it is not enough, so greater pressure must be exerted to end this presence," indicating that "the American side is procrastinating in the process of accepting the schedule for the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq until now." 
    He calls for "implementing the law to expel American forces from Iraq and not circumventing it by the international coalition, which refuses to leave and wants to change the title of its fighters to advisors in order to keep them."
