Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Tuesday, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Iraq, Mr. Pedro Martinez Avial, on the occasion of the end of his term of office, where bilateral relations, various aspects of their development and ways to grow them were reviewed for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.[/size]
[size=45]Mr. Al-Sudani expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Ambassador during his term of representing his country in Iraq, pointing out the need to proceed with activating the understandings agreed upon between the two countries in various fields, during the visit of the Spanish Prime Minister, Mr. Pedro Sanchez, to Iraq last December, in addition to the importance of holding the joint Iraqi-Spanish committee scheduled for this year.[/size]
[size=45]His Excellency also stressed the government's welcome to the participation of Spanish companies specialized in infrastructure reconstruction, development plans and service projects being implemented in Iraq, indicating that the government has taken a number of measures to develop the investment environment, and attract and encourage international companies. The Prime Minister handed the ambassador a congratulatory telegram to the Spanish Prime Minister on the occasion of his country's national team winning the European Football Nations Cup[/size]
