    Information/Basra...
Basra Governorate MP, Intisar Hamad, confirmed today, Wednesday, her objection to the Cabinet’s decision regarding oil companies in the governorate.
Hamed told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Cabinet's decision to transfer oil companies' financing from self-financing to the central bank will lead to their loss."
She called on the "Council of Ministers to delay its decision regarding oil companies in Basra Governorate."
She pointed out that "proceeding with the decision will make the oil companies unstable and expose them to loss, which will be reflected in the Iraqi national economy."
Angry employees working in the oil sector closed a number of oil sites in Basra Governorate on Tuesday morning in protest against decisions issued by the Ministry of Oil. End/25Q
