    Iraq's imports of fruits and nuts from South Africa amounted to more than $35 million during 2023, according to the "Trade Map" website, which provides trade data for exports and imports for countries.
    The statistics published by the website, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", showed that "Iraq imported fruits and nuts from South Africa during the past year at a value of 35 million and 85 thousand dollars", noting that "Iraq's share of fruit and nut imports from South Africa amounted to 5%".
    The statistics added that "fruits and nuts included fresh and dried citrus fruits in an amount of 67 thousand tons and a financial value of 31 million and 454 thousand dollars, and Iraq imported strawberries, raspberries and currants in an amount of 2.5 tons and a value of 2 million and 276 thousand dollars."
    The statistics showed that "Iraq also imported apples, quince, and pears in quantities of 1.2 tons, worth $876,000, and imported nuts in quantities of 16 tons, worth $200,000, and imported pineapple, avocado, and figs in quantities of 171 tons, worth $185,000," noting that "Iraq imported cherries and peaches in quantities of 110 tons, worth $94,000."
