Lebanese media revealed, today, Friday (July 19, 2024), the date of the visit of the caretaker Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati, to Baghdad, while showing the most prominent files that he is discussing with Al-Sudani.
According to Lebanese media, citing a source, "Career Prime Minister Najib Mikati will visit Baghdad at the end of this week, accepting an invitation from his Iraqi counterpart, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani."
She added, "A ministerial delegation including Minister of Energy Walid Fayyad, Minister of Economy Amin Salam, Minister of Agriculture Abbas Hajj Hassan, Minister of Industry George Bouchikian, in addition to a number of advisors, will accompany Mikati on his visit."
She added, "The talks are scheduled to address a number of common files between the two countries, including the continued supply of Iraqi oil to Lebanon for the benefit of Electricité du Liban and the settlement of disputes arising regarding its financing programs and the financial obligations resulting from that."
