The Ministry of Trade and Industry in the Kurdistan Region seeks to market its products to the Gulf States and Europe through some procedures and facilities. The Director General of Trade in the Ministry, Nawzad Sheikh Kamel, told Al-Sabah: The ministry has provided facilities to companies and traders, in addition to supporting the agricultural and commercial sectors to facilitate the export process to some Gulf States in addition to Jordan and Europe, indicating that among the facilities is reducing bureaucracy and exempting customs taxes in some cases. He added that the regional government has issued instructions to allow the establishment of several local factories under its supervision to export local products, including potatoes, pomegranates, honey, apples, Kurdish rice, rashi and sumac.
