Iraq will not be bombed and we told Iran: “We are not a wall of advice.” Government advisor

At a time when the international media is busy with the potential Iranian response against Israel, and the pressures and attacks that Baghdad could be exposed to, a political advisor to Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani said that “things have been done” and there are clear agreements with “the factions and Iran” to keep the Iraqis away from any escalation, despite all the support for the Palestinian cause.
Fadi Al-Shammari, with the media figure Samer Jawad:
Baghdad is trying not to be a party to the conflict, and to go towards supporting the Palestinian cause, through the diplomatic path, and is trying as much as possible to control the internal emotions to ensure the Iraqi interest, and when we set red lines, we must not strive for a decision that destroys the interests of the homeland, especially if it was agreed upon by the largest component (the Coordination Framework) that drew a roadmap and an important force in the Sunni and Kurdish interior agreed with it, and the government is following it.
The factions are still committed to the policy proposed by the government, during a discussion that took place within the main forces in the framework and then with the coalition of state forces, and therefore even the violations that occurred in the recent period were not claimed (by the resistance factions). The people who were arrested in the recent violations are under investigation, but I cannot confirm whether they are or are not linked to the resistance factions.
He ruled out that any site in Iraq would be bombed. Iran knows, as it entered into dialogue and suffered from Baghdad when it bombed Erbil based on misleading information. The agreement that was reached was that no hostile steps would be taken towards any site within the Iraqi geographical borders without informing and agreeing with Iraq. We told the Iranians that if you have any information about the presence of Mossad in Iraq, give it to us so we can deal with it ourselves. The Kurds said in the official meeting to sign the security agreement at the time, in the presence of the Iranians, “If there is information in this regard, Baghdad is the one concerned and can enter with its security forces without coordinating with Erbil, and we deal with Baghdad as our constitutional reference in these issues.”
We are not “a wall of half-brothers, and we do not accept to be a wall of half-brothers” for any party, despite our pride in our friends, neighbors, and all parties. I say this to the Iranians, and “take it easy,” because the Iranian will respect me more when I tell him this.
