The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidane, and the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs, Claudio Cordone, discussed issues of common interest. The Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by "Al-Zawraa": "The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidane, received the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs and Electoral Assistance in Iraq, Claudio Cordone, and his accompanying delegation." He added that "the two parties discussed a number of legal issues of common interest." On the other hand, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidane, received the Turkish Ambassador, Anil Bora Inan, and discussed with him enhancing judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement by the media center of the Supreme Judicial Council.[/size]
