    Economy News - Follow-up
    The Ministry of Commerce is preparing to audit the data of 39 million and 700 thousand citizens covered by the electronic ration card.
    The Director General of Planning and Follow-up at the Ministry, Talib Hassan Ne’meh, explained in an interview with “Al-Sabah” followed by “Al-Eqtisad News”, that “the auditing process is conducted based on the data of the modern unified card, through the national and family numbers and matching the thumbprint, eye print and the real image of the individual using the artificial intelligence system in cooperation with one of the solid companies contracted for this purpose.”
    Nima pointed out that “the citizens of the Kurdistan Region will be included in the update due to the presence of large numbers there with duplicate names, in addition to the deaths and travelers who will be withheld from them,” stressing that “the withholding process will reduce expenses and allocations for food items, and limit the violations that occurred in the numbers of those included in it.”
