    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed today, Thursday (October 10, 2024), the necessity of major countries intervening to stop the Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.
    The media office of the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that Al-Sudani, during his reception of Seth Moulton, a member of the US House of Representatives, along with the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romansky, stressed that "the Zionist entity has gone too far in its transgressions by insulting symbols and dignitaries, including the Zionist media's transgression against the person of His Eminence the Supreme Authority, Sayyid al-Sistani (may his shadow be extended), as this represents an insult to the feelings of Muslims around the world, in addition to targeting civilians and destroying infrastructure in Gaza and Lebanon."
    Al-Sudani added, "We stress the need for major countries, institutions and international organizations to intervene in order to stop the ongoing aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, and the necessity of stopping the occupation from systematic killing and sabotage, and working to end the war that threatens the security and stability of the region and the world."
    According to the statement, during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries, developments in the region, after the joint announcement of the end of the international coalition to fight ISIS in Iraq, and the steps taken to move to bilateral relations in the security field and other fields were discussed.
