The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of central admission to universities for the academic year 2024-2025 for more than 152,000 male and female students distributed across the country’s universities in various scientific disciplines.
And humanity.
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naeem Al-Aboudi said during the conference announcing the results of the central admissions, which was attended by Al-Sabah: “The minimum limits for admission to the medical group were stable in general medicine at a rate of “99.14” and the colleges of dentistry at “98.29”, while the college of pharmacy accepted a rate of “98.4”. As for the colleges of nursing, the minimum limits for admission were not less than “89.57”, and the technical health colleges at “89.29”, and the average minimum limits in engineering were “84.41” and sciences at “80.97”.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research directed universities to begin student registration procedures and approve the data of the central admission results published on the ministry’s official website.
For his part, the official spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Haid Al-Aboudi, told Al-Sabah that “the central admission was based on the students’ desire and the universities’ capacity, in addition to the innovations that occurred this year that are in line with the labor market,” explaining that the ministry is ready to absorb the outputs of the Ministry of Education’s third round after announcing the results of the central admission for successful students from the first and second rounds.
Al-Aboudi explained that a form for objections to acceptance has been prepared and will be launched soon. It includes three categories: students who were not accepted due to an error in the application, in addition to students accepted into institutes with grades higher than 75, in addition to students who did not originally apply for central acceptance.
Regarding the most prominent changes that occurred in the academic year 2024-2025 compared to last year, the official spokesman indicated that the current year witnessed the creation of more than 130 university formations distributed among universities, colleges, departments and institutes, in addition to nearly 300,000 students taking the final exam, and the central admission showed the acceptance of 152. The ministry is awaiting the sending of data on successful students from the third round in order to accept them centrally in universities and colleges, similar to their successful colleagues from the first and second rounds, due to the increase in the number of those accepted in colleges and universities, noting that last year witnessed the acceptance of 300,000 students centrally.
