{Politics: Al Furat News} The British Foreign Office announced today, Tuesday, the appointment of Irfan Siddiq as the new British Ambassador to Iraq, succeeding Stephen Hitchens.
The British Foreign Office said in a statement that it "has decided to appoint Irfan Siddiq as the UK's Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, succeeding Stephen Hitchcock, who will take up another diplomatic post."
It added that "{Siddiq} will assume his new post in March 2025."
