Minister of Planning receives Deputy Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Cassation and his accompanying delegation to review the latest preparations for conducting the population census

[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Dr. Mohammed Ali Tamim, received today, Wednesday, a delegation from the Supreme Judicial Council headed by Judge Najm Ahmed Abdullah, Deputy President of the Federal Court of Cassation.
The delegation included Judge Najm Abdullah Ahmed, Chief Public Prosecutor, Judge Laith Jabr Hamza, Head of the Judicial Supervision Authority, and Director General of the Financial and Administrative Department, Mona Abdul Hussein Abdul Karim.
A statement by the Ministry of Planning stated that the Minister and the visiting delegation made a field tour of the Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority, as the Supreme Judicial Council delegation was briefed on the latest preparations of the Ministry of Planning to conduct the general census of population and housing scheduled for November 20-21.
The field tour included a visit to the operations room and the data and communications centers for the population census.
The Minister provided a detailed explanation of the mechanisms, procedures and technologies used to conduct the population census, noting that the census will be 100% electronic, and that the results achieved so far have become reassuring, especially after the numbering and enumeration operations reached 97%, and in some governorates the work has actually ended, stressing that the census represents a historic opportunity for Iraq as it will draw a new map of the population, and details of the scene in all development sectors in terms of population, number of males and females, number of dwellings, buildings and facilities, housing reality, health, education and services, age groups of the population, poverty levels, unemployment and welfare in the country.
The visiting delegation was also briefed on the details of the field work and how to follow up on the movement of enumerators in the field, and the results achieved so far, as the judges expressed their high appreciation for the level of efforts and results achieved by the Ministry of Planning, and the accuracy of the work to conduct the population census, indicating that the results expected from this project represent a supreme development value because it will serve the citizen in all fields in addition to what it will provide in terms of an accurate diagnosis of all problems and development gaps in the country, stressing the support of the Supreme Judicial Council for this population census project. /End9[/rtl]
