Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Deputy Iraqi parliament Speaker, Arif Tayfour, stressed “The continuity of the negotiations between the Iraqi government and Russia to complete the armament deal is a waste of money.”
A statement by Tayfour’s office cited on Wednesday “Tayfour expressed his resentment over the continuity of the negotiations between Iraq and Russia officials to conclude the armament deal which was signed two days before at cost of $ 4 billion, describing this deal as a waste of public money as these huge funds can be invested to provide services to the people and develop the infrastructures.”
“The continuity in concluding this deal despite the corruption suspicions demonstrates the corruption that accompanied this deal,” he stressed.
